I seem to be on a roll with finding really good sources for web design/graphic design inspiration and ILoveTypography proves another great reference.
This is one thing they posted a while back and visually I think it great. It's made from actual paper, but I could see this being quite possible using 3DMax.
The curves of the paper is what makes it really interesting. It has quite an ornate, beautiful quality to it. I love flowing sort of looks like this.
